The Slovak TV operator MAC TV has obtained a licence for a further thematic channel.
According to local reports, the licence was awarded by the regulator RpMS (Council for Media Services) for a channel named Joj Svet, which will be on air for 24 hours daily and offer mostly documentary-based programming.
Mac TV already operates several thematic channels alongside its flagship service Joj.
The most recent to launch was news-based Joj 24, which made its debut in September 2022 and has included a regional segment named Regiony 24 since this April.
