The crackdown on Netflix password sharing has been extended to over 100 countries around the world.
In emails sent to a total of 103 countries and territories including the US, UK, France, Germany, the US, Australia, Singapore, Mexico and Brazil, Netflix has reminded sharers that Netflix accounts should only be used in one household.
In the case of account holders living in the US, they can share their account with someone who doesn’t live with them for $7.99 a month more.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the crackdown on password sharing began this February in Spain, Portugal, Canada and New Zealand following trials in Latin America.
However, the move resulted in it losing over a million customers in Spain alone.
