Finecast recruits key Polish execs

May 23, 2023 11.11 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Szymon Lipinski has been appointed client engagement director at Poland’s Finecast, an agency specialising in addressable TV, belonging to GroupM.

Pawel Sikorski has also joined the Polish Finecast team as Finecast executive (GroupM).

Finecast debuted in Poland at the beginning of this year. The head of the Polish structure of Finecast is Maciej Olenderczyk, who previously worked at Wavemaker, coordinating regional campaigns on TV and offline media. Finecast specialises in advertising technologies enabling the planning of strictly targeted video campaigns in the world of linear TV and connected TV.

Szymon Lipinski will be responsible for, amongst others, developing, together with marketers, a strategy for using addressable TV as an additional element complementing their existing range of communication channels, including key services and tools offered by Finecast. At the same time, he will continue to support the Wavemaker media agency, where he has held the position of data & strategy director since 2017.

Meanwhile, Pawel Sikorski, was, from March 2022, he worked at Wavemaker Poland as an integrated communication planner buyer.

Commenting on the appointments, Maciej Olenderczyk said: “Finecast had a strong debut in Poland, the great interest of addressable TV advertisers resulted in dozens of realizations. Hence the need to develop the team, for which we are looking for more specialists, both to handle the ongoing campaigns, as well as to develop the offer”.

GroupM tested Finecast technology as early as 2022, when it was the first media group in Poland to implement campaigns using the addressable TV offer of the TVN group.

The idea of Finecast is to integrate the offer of TV stations and OTT/VOD services within one system for planning, optimising and buying campaigns.

GroupM’s forecast assumes that this year marketers in Poland will spend about PLN230 million (€50.9 million) on video advertising around professional content on TV screens.
