A new documentary channel made its debut in Russia on May 15.
Known as Unknown Russia, it is operated by Gazprom-Media’s NTV and covers all aspects of life and culture in the country.
Commenting on the channel, Alexey Zemsky, CEO of NTV, said: “There is a demand for quality documentaries, we see it. Therefore, together with our partners, we have formed a unique offer – a thematic documentary film channel. The core of the new TV channel will be documentary projects of the NTV channel and series of documentaries created by the largest Russian scientific and cultural associations. We will show the audience Russia as it is – a great country with a rich history and talented people”.
The channel will be available on cable, IPTV and satellite TV networks, as well as on the internet platforms of the main Russian operators and on the website of the NTV TV company.
