United Media has signed a new three-year contract with CNN that continues the successful partnership between its regional information platform N1 and the US company.
The exclusive partnership, which was the first of its kind signed by CNN in Southeast Europe, began in 2014.
Commenting on the development, Valid Camak, director of content sales and licensing at CNN, said: “We are proud to continue our cooperation with N1, which is our important partner in Southeast Europe.
“We have worked closely with N1 since the launch of the channel in 2014 and look forward to continuing our collaboration through content sharing, access to CNN coverage, as well as providing training and consultation as N1 develops its product offering”.
Aleksandra Subotic, United Media’s CEO, added: “United Media, like CNN, is committed to supporting democratic values. Support for independent media that is free from political influence is crucial for the development of democracy. This is especially important in a region where media freedoms are often under pressure. Being a reliable source of accurate and unbiased news is a key factor in the popularity of our content. We are grateful for CNN’s support, which allows us to provide this important service to our audience in Southeast Europe”.
