Türk Telekom ended the first quarter with a total of 2.9 million subscribers to its TV services Tivibu Home (IPTV, DTH) and Tivibu GO.
This, according to the company’s latest results, was barely changed (+0.1%) on the number a year earlier.
However, within that total the number of Tivibu Home (IPTV, DTH) subscribers fell by 3.1% year-on-year to 1.4 million.
At the same time, TV ARPU rose by 36.5% to TL33.1 (€1.55).
Türk Telekom also had 14.8 million broadband subscribers (+2.3%), while its fibre subscriber total stood at 11.8 million (+14.7%). Of the latter, 3.6 million were FTTH/B (+23%) and 8.2 million FTTC (+11.3%).
Türk Telekom’s revenues in Q1 amounted to TL15,253 million (+61%) and EBITDA TL4,731 million (+16.2%).
Its net profit was TL645 million (+15.1%).
In its results, Türk Telekom notes that its Q1 performance was affected by the massive earthquakes that shook the southeast of the country in February.
