RTL+ joins Vodafone GigaTV with TeraVolt

May 9, 2023 08.44 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

TeraVolt developed a Lightning Application for RTL+ and Vodafone, enabling the launch of RTL+ as a pre-installed app on Vodafone’s GigaTV platform.

The basis for the GigaTV migration of RTL+, which took place last week, is the Metrological Lightning Framework. TeraVolt has specialised in developments in the Lightning Framework from Metrological (part of Comcast Technology Solutions) for years and was commissioned by RTL and Vodafone for the implementation of this project.

Commenting on the development, Oliver Koch, CCO and founder at TeraVolt said: “RTL+ is one of the most important players in the streaming segment with its content and strategic orientation. We are pleased about the successful integration of the app on GigaTV. At the same time, we are further expanding our long-standing successful collaboration with Vodafone along the new processes”.

TeraVolt, which is a solution provider for digital media products based in Hamburg’s Schanzenviertel has also become part of the RDK community.
