Vodafone Spain has said it is replacing some of its older TV decoders and broadband routers for its customers.
So far 55,000 TiVo decoders have been replaced, along with another 240,000 routers for more recent devices.
The company says the new decoders make it possible for subscribers to enjoy a broader range of features, including voice control, better sound quality with a speaker designed by Bang & Olufsen and the Alexa virtual assistant.
The Vodafone TV 4K decoder includes cloud recording of up to 350 hours, and up to 100 channels, which can also be viewed from mobile devices. There is also access to on demand content from the past seven days.
The new routers have enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with speeds up to 1Gbps and dual band Wi-Fi technology.
Customers receive a message by phone or SMS advising them that they have been selected for the exchange and when the engineer is due to call.
