Michal Jordan has been appointed the executive of the Czech Republic’s Association of Television Organisations (ATO), effective June 1.
He replaces Vlasta Roskotova, who is leaving the ATO after 12 years in the position.
The ATO provides the Czech market with data on TV viewership and video content created on the basis of the cross-platform electronic measurement and Content Consumption Project (PCEM). Peoplemeter data, which is the single currency for the market, is supplied to the ATO by Nielsen Atmosphere.
For Jordan, the research project has “the highest priority, and in the era of rapid development of digital technologies, I consider it necessary to constantly work on its further development”.
Roskotova added: “I am convinced that the ATO is the right place for Michal Jordan, where he can apply all his previous experience and make a significant contribution to ensuring that research on television viewership and video content in the Czech Republic continues to be among the best in Europe”.
Jordan has held various positions in the IT sector, and in 2001 co-founded the research agency Mediaresearch, which later transformed into Nielsen Atmosphere. He ended his work there in February 2023.
