Jaroslaw Olechowski has been dismissed from three key executive roles at the Polish public broadcaster TVP.
In a statement, TVP says that he is no longer the director of the Television Information Agency (TAI) and TV channels TVP3 and TVP Warszawa.
It adds that Michal Adamczyk has taken on the role of director of TAI.
Although TVP has given no reason for Olechowski’s dismissal, local reports say that he felt his position was threatened by Mateusz Matyszkowicz, who has been the president of TVP since September 2022.
They add that he went on to criticise Matyszkowicz and sought political support against him, though this is something Olechowski has denied.
