Media Broadcast Satellite (MBS) and Astra satellite operator SES are extending their partnership.
Through the multi-year agreement, the German provider of global, satellite-based and terrestrial communications services, headquartered in Usingen near Frankfurt, secures capacity on Astra’s 19.2° East position for the distribution of SD television channels.
“With SES Astra, we have a reliable, long-standing partner at our side, through whom we can continue to offer our customers distribution via satellite, the TV reception infrastructure with the widest reach. In this way, we ensure that their programmes reach the relevant target groups,” said MBS Managing Director Christian Fleischhauer.
The agreement with MBS is part a recent series of contract renewals SES signed with German market players with a total volume of €75 million.
