The Slovak national commercial broadcaster Joj has launched a new online sports channel.
Known as Joj Sport Plus, it is available on the Joj Play streaming platform and offers viewers extended live broadcasts that would otherwise not be available on the linear channel Joj Sport.
Commenting on the new channel, Roman Neuschl, head of Joj Sport TV, said: “On Joj Sport Plus, we broadcast matches and events that deserve to be on television, but due to a time conflict with another top event planned for a longer period of time in the Joj Sport programme, we cannot include it in the live broadcast.
“So we will bring these events to the viewers on a separate stream, which will always work only for a given specific match on the Joj Play platform”.
Joj Sport Plus will always be available on the Joj Play homepage (www.jojplay.sk).
Joj Play product manager Nikoleta Nagyová added: “We are not planning to charge (for) Joj Sport Plus yet. To watch the selected sports broadcast, viewers just need to register on the Joj Play platform and fill out their profile in three simple steps”.
