Gerald Biart has joined Viaplay Group as VP, consumer sales for North America.
In his new role, he will oversee D2C sales for the Viaplay streaming service in the US and Canada, including driving strategic planning for subscriber acquisition and retention initiatives, and facilitating B2C promotional partnerships.
Biart is based in Los Angeles will report to Vanda Rapti, Viaplay Group EVP and CCO for North America & Viaplay Select.
He has global experience in D2C, B2C and B2B streaming services and entertainment. Most recently, he was VP digital services partnerships for wellness app Maavee. Prior to that, he was in various roles at Paramount/ViacomCBS International, including being part of the global senior management team as VP content strategy, marketing, partnerships and business development. Biart has also worked at the Belgian telecommunications company Proximus.
