Kabelio adds 9 new channels to Swiss DTH service

April 3, 2023 10.41 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Swiss DTH satellite platform Kabelio has added nine TV channels to its line-up.

New from Germany is news channel n-tv. For French-speaking viewers, music channel M6 Music, children’s channel Gulli, entertainment services W9 and 6ter and local Geneva TV channel Léman Bleu have been added.

The range of English-language channels has been supplemented by Film4 as well as ITV2 and ITV4, added in February 2023.

In total, Kabelio now offers 66 channels, including the major public and commercial channels from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, regional services and international channels.

The platforn, which launched in October 2020 on Eutelsat Hotbird (13° East), provides Swiss households without cable TV with a comparable TV offering via satellite.
