Telia Company has announced that Per Christian Mørland, executive VP and group CFO, has given notice of resignation due to family reasons.
He will leave during H2 2023 to take on career opportunities closer to his home in Norway.
Mørland joined Telia in 2015 and took on the role as CFO for Telia Norway the same year, before entering the role as group CFO in August 2020. The recruitment process for a new group CFO commences immediately.
Commenting on the departure, Allison Kirkby, Telia Company president and CEO, said: “Per Christian has been instrumental to Telia’s transformation, and so I am sad that he will leave us, but I fully respect his decision to return to Norway to be closer to his family and take a next step in his career. Having played an important role in shaping our strategy and returning Telia to growth, he leaves Telia in a stronger position than when he took on the Group CFO role in 2020. I now wish him every happiness and success in his future endeavours”.
Mørland added: “It’s always hard to say goodbye to great colleagues, but I have made this decision as I want to spend more time closer to my family in Norway. It has been a fantastic journey with Telia over the last eight years and I am proud of what my team, and all colleagues at Telia, have accomplished. Telia is today stronger and more resilient, and I know that the company will continue to transform and develop to even better serve our customers”.
