M7 Group’s Czech and Slovak operator Skylink is preparing to launch a streaming service under the Canal+ brand.
Speaking in a wide-ranging interview with Parabola, M7 Group board member Jaromir Glisnik added that as well as an attractive video library the service will offer its TV channels, including Canal+ Sport and Canal+ Action.
He also said that customers will be able to order the streaming service separately and without having to subscribe to Skylink’s satellite or internet TV offers.
Furthermore, it will be offered as an additional service to competing operators.
Speaking more widely, Glisnik said that the Canal+ brand will in due course be extended to Hungary and Romania.
However, this will require cooperation with other operators and negotiations are currently ongoing.
