United Media has acquired a 50% stake in the Greek company Emsa Media for an undisclosed fee.
Emsa Media is a digital hub that provides specialized commercial, technical, operational and marketing services to a network of owned and affiliated sites. It has the sportdog.gr and newpost.gr portals in its portfolio.
United Media is part of United Group and has a presence in eight countries in Southeast Europe.
It produces more than 40,000 hours of original content every year which is distributed to a market of more than 40 million people by leading international operators.
Additionally, the company has 55 TV stations in its portfolio, seven of which with national coverage and a successful digital portfolio of 30 web portals, six newspapers, two magazines and five radio stations.
