The Maltese alternative telco Epic has launched a new multiscreen TV service, powered by technology supplied by Zattoo.
While a first for Malta, the service builds on similar launches by Epic’s shareholders in Ireland, Switzerland, and Monaco.
Launched in 1989 as Telecel, the company has been styled as Vodafone Malta before its acquisition by Monaco Telecom in 2019 and styling as Epic.
The operator is offering 39 channels including Discovery, Eurosport and the BBC, alongside local and Italian Channels. Special features include replay, a seven-day catch-up, up to 100 hours of recording and HD streaming. Disney+ and Netflix are also available.
There is a dedicated app for both Apple and Google users and customers are permitted to view on multiple devices simultaneously.
Epic’s CEO Pierre Etienne Cizeron said: “This is another exciting milestone in Epic’s ongoing journey to being a multi-service customer-centric provider. With EPIC TV, we’re giving users real choice, better service, lower prices and faster speeds…right into their living room.”
A launch offer includes Epic TV and Epic Fibre at a basic cost of €6.99 for the first six months.
