The satellite operator SES had video revenues of €1,020 million in 2022, down 5.5% on the previous year.
Its total revenues in 2022 amounted to €1,944 million, 2.3% less than in 2021.
In its latest results, SES says that its video revenues including the planned impact of lower US wholesale revenue and periodic revenue of €10 million in Q1 2022. Excluding these two items, video was 4.4% lower than 2021 as lower volumes in mature markets were partially offset by growth in Sports & Events and HD+.
SES has an adjusted EBITDA of €1,105 million (+1.3%) and net profit of €189 million (-41.5%) in 2022.
As of the end of last year, SES delivered more than 8,000 total TV channels to 369 million TV homes around the world, including some 3,200 HD channels. 73% of total TV channels were broadcast in MPEG-4, with an additional 7% broadcast in HEVC.
