Orange Romania is now a direct shareholder in Telekom Romania’s former fixed-line business TKR.
Ziarul Financiar reports that this is following the company’s absorption of Orange Oro (Cyprus) Holding, a company it established for the sole purpose of acquiring a 54% stake in TKR from Greece’s OTE.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the transaction, worth €268 million, was first announced in November 2020.
Following its completion, the Romanian state retained a minority (46%) stake in TKR.
