Amazon Prime Video has held on to its ‘first pick’ rights for Champions League coverage in Italy.
The online retailer has agreed to a new deal with Uefa for the 2024-27 broadcast cycle.
Comcast’s Sky Italia has also retained a package that reflects the current deal for the next three seasons. It will show the remainder of the matches exclusively.
In a new format, 36 teams will now compete in a single league.
Amazon is said to have offered between €100 million and €110 million per year for its share of the games with Uefa targeting an annual €300 million from the auction.
