According to Zive, Prima Cool, Prima Zoom, Prima Max, Prima Krimi, Prima Love, Prima Star, CT Sport and CT Art/:D can no longer be received as if February 20.
Meanwhile, Prima has informed Broadband TV News that it is currently in talks with the operator about contracting the distribution of the CNN Prima NEWS channel, which should soon appear in its line-up.
It added that on the basis of a valid contract, Orange distributes the Prima Plus channel, the broadcast of which is directly intended for the territory of the Slovak Republic. The broadcast content of the Prima Plus channel consists primarily of Prima group own series and shows.
Orange is the first Slovak operator to respond to last month’s call by Markiza and Joj, the country’s two leading commercial broadcasters, to no longer distribute Czech channels when the show films and series for which they own the rights for Slovakia.
However, it has decided to block the Czech channels completely rather than at certain times.
Broadband TV News notes that Orange ended 2022 with 194,000 TV subscribers in Slovakia, or 20.5% more than the 161,000 it had a year earlier.
