The Polish public broadcaster TVP will receive around PLN2.35 billion (€491.6 million) in compensation this year for lost subscription revenues.
According to Presserwis, the total allocated to public media by the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) will amount to PLN2.7 billion, which is 35% more than in 2022.
TVP’s share, at 87%, will be slightly than the 87.5% allocated last year.
Presserwis notes that the compensation will not make up the PLN2.9 billion deficit of all public media’s programme and financial plans for 2023.
