Zattoo is expanding its TV line-up in Germany by eleven local channels.
Subscribers of the Premium and Ultimate packages can now receive six local windows on RTL Television: TV Bayern live, RTL Nord (Bremen/Lower Saxony and Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein), RTL Hessen, RTL West and RON (Rhein-Odenwald-Neckar). The services are mainly known for their local news, shown daily at 18:00 CET.
Five local TV channels from Sachsen Fernsehen, a broadcaster from federal German state Saxony, have also been added. The new services are Sachsen Fernsehen Chemnitz, Sachsen Fernsehen Dresden, Sachsen Fernsehen Leipzig, Sachsen Fernsehen Vogtland and SachsenEins. The channels are also available to users of Zattoo’s ad-financed free model.
The eleven new local services can be watched live and time-shifted in HD quality and with interactive add-on functions such as live pause, restart and recordings. They can be found in the Zattoo app under the category ‘Regional’.
