Thema goes FAST in Spain

February 7, 2023 12.04 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Canal+ Group’s Thema has launched its FAST Turkish drama channel Vive Kanal D Drama on a number of platforms in Spain.

According to the company, it became available on Rakuten TV and Orange TV in January, with more deals are coming very soon. At the same time with the Orange TV launch, the channel has also become available to subscribers of Jazztel TV, which is also an Orange TV service in Spain.

Thema adds that counting TIVIFY, which is launching the channel soon, and Mediaset, Samsung TV Plus – with whom the deal was concluded earlier – the channel is now on air in more than 3 million households.

Séverine Garusso, head of distribution EMEA of Thema, said: “Spanish audience loves Turkish Drama. With its high-quality curated Turkish Dramas content, Vive Kanal D fills the appetite of the Spanish audience. We are thrilled to have broadened the distribution of VKDD in Spain, allowing us to reach 3 million households. These last launches are a new milestone for THEMA and represent our fierce initiative to expand the global footprint of our FASTs and become a key player in the FAST distribution market”.
