A controversial amendment to Poland’s Broadcast Law named “Lex Pilot” has been suspended.
According to local reports, the county’s Digitisation Committee made the decision and the amendment will now be discussed in a public hearing on March 6.
Under ‘Lex Pilot”, pay-TV and other operators would have to place the public broadcaster TVP’s channels at the top of their EPGs.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, it has been strongly criticised by leading stakeholders in Poland’s media and telecom industry.
