Nuuday has grown its broadband subscriber base for the first time since 2016.
The Danish operator added 1,000 subscriptions on the quarter.
Nuuday’s broadband company Hiper reached the milestone of 100,000 customers at the start of 2023, while the subscriber base for high-speed broadband (coax and fibre) overall increased by 3% due to continuous conversion of subscribers from DSL.
But the TV base declined by 2,000 subscriptions reflecting the continuing structural changes in demand for linear TV packages mitigated by strong consumer interest in our new tv & streaming offering YouSee Play.
he TV customer base continued the downward trend, but at a slowed pace with 2,000 fewer subscriptions, with the structural decline in the market offset by strong consumer interest in Nuuday’s new TV and streaming offering, YouSee Play, launched in Q3.
Nuuday closed the OTT service YouTv at the end of Q4, as the OTT offer is now fully integrated into YouSee Play.
The company said that overall its business transformation had delivered clear progress in Q4 with good results in the strategic core areas of mobile and consumer broadband, with the consumer broadband customer base growing for the first time since Q1 2016.
