Gazprom-Media’s OTT platform Premier saw its revenue increase by 22% in 2022.
At the same, reports Kommersant, its subscriber rose by 45%, from 2.5 million to 3.6 million. It adds that in 2021 the company reported a 22% increase in paying subscribers.
Quoting a statement from Premier, Kommersant also says that thanks to its low level of foreign content ¬– 30% before February 2022 – the service was not hit by sanctions. It also added a number of in-house productions to its content library last year.
