GES Group launches Prima Technologies

January 4, 2023 14.40 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Czech Republic’s GES Group has established a new company named Prima Technologies that will provide complete ICT management for all companies in its portfolio including the national commercial broadcaster Prima.

Commenting on the development, Josef Stransky, technology director of the GES Group, who is also responsible for the technologies of the Prima media group, said: “We are synergistically strengthening the cooperation of companies across the GES GROUP, which is why we have decided to place complete ICT management under the newly established company Prima Technologies, whose ranks include a complete team of experienced IT experts from the Prima group headed by Tomas Ruzicka, the current IT director of the Prima group. This arrangement will allow us to make better use of resources, increase the quality of the services provided, and unify security policies. Another significant advantage will be the sharing of procedures and experience with the digitisation of the corporate environment across the GES Group. In total, we will provide ICT services for more than 30 companies and 2,500 users”.

Prima Technologies is based at the address of the Prima group, which also houses the centre from which the broadcasts of the 10 TV channels of the Prima group are handled, including the news platform CNN Prima NEWS, six radio stations from the Radio United Broadcasting network, as well as a rich portfolio of websites.

GES Group is a private Czech financial group that has been operating on the market since 1990. The group focuses on the areas of industry, agriculture, media and real estate.
