The Spanish government has modified the country’s National Technical DTT plan.
As a result, reports El Economista, users of old (15 years and over) sets will be able to receive low definition (SD) terrestrial TV signals until February 14, 2024 to replace them with new or second hand HD sets.
It adds that the National Technical DTT plan initial set the date of the switch off of SD signals as January 1, 2023.
The date has been put back due to Spain’s exceptional economic situation, brought about by the pandemic and war in Ukraine.
