Zattoo expands into the Netherlands with TV2GO

December 8, 2022 22.57 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Zattoo is rolling out its TV-as-a-service platform in the Netherlands with TV2GO, the common entity of internet and TV service providers KabelTex, SKV and SKP, being the first customer.

The partnership will cover six applications in the first deployment phase including Android Mobile, Android TV, iOS and tvOS, allowing audiences to stream content through any of TV2GO’s three entities.

Using the Zattoo TV platform, TV2GO will introduce its first TV service to its customers on a platform set to continue growing its business. More than 100 new channels, mostly targeting the Dutch audience, will be introduced by the partnership. Almost all of these channels will be delivered to the other partners via IP and Zattoo by core unit KabelTex.

The new entity, furthermore, will have one set of white-label apps and one branded TV service. Zattoo will not only host and manage the new TV service, but also make it available on mobile, web and a branded Android TV set-top box.

In addition, each of the three TV2GO entities (KabelTex, SKV, SKP) will use Zattoo’s Bridge platform, combining features for monitoring the streaming service in one place. Customer support teams are able to access all relevant information about the TV service, both on an individual basis and overall.

“The new partnership with TV2GO is a milestone on our way to expanding our success in core markets towards European countries with significant growth potential,” said Jörg Meyer, Chief Commercial Officer at Zattoo. “Working closely with our new Dutch partners in coming years across such a range of services may become a blueprint for providing our long-established and successful white-label offering to operators and the groups they form in search of strategic edge in highly contested local markets.”
