The share of Czech homes using a TV with an internet connection rose from 34% to 44% in the two years to June 30.
Furthermore, according to the Czech Statistical Office (CSU), in households with children under 15 years of age and in young households, that figure now stands at more than 60%.
Meanwhile, over four in five (85%) of people aged 16+ used the internet, and 61% made purchases through it, as of June 30. In households with children under 15 years of age, as well as in young households without children, almost everyone uses the internet.
In households with senior citizens, the figure stands at 50%. Prague has the most connected households, while households in the Liberec and Usti regions use the internet the least.
