The merger of Play and UPC in Poland is already having a positive impact on iliad’s performance.
Results published by the French group show that the number of net new subscribers on plans in Poland rose to over 106,000 in Q3, while in the fixed segment it had 54,000 new subscribers. The completion of the deal that will lead to the creation of a FiberCo in early 2023 will also accelerate the expansion of the addressable market.
According to iliad, the group had total consolidated revenues of €6,174 million in the first nine months of the year, up 9.6% on the same period in 2021. Consolidated EBITDAaL was €2,421 million (+12.6%) and profit €756 million (+108.1 million).
In a separate development, Play and UPC Polska have added the information channel News24 to their offers. In the former case, it is available in Play Now and Play Now TV, while in the latter it can be found in the Max and Max Premium packages.
