Alessandro Salem and Massimo Musolino have been appointed the new joint CEOs of Spain’s Mediaset, effective January 1, 2023.
The move follows Paolo Vasile’s decision to resign as CEO after 23 years at the company, effective December 31.
Salem has extensive experience both in the publishing field, as current general director of content at Rete Televisive Italiane (RTI), and in the advertising field, after being at Publitalia’80 and later Publiespaña, of which he was CEO.
Musolino will be responsible for the management and operations areas, which he has already being in charge of, in order to ensure full continuity in the management of the company and its group of companies.
Meanwhile, Borja Prado, president of Mediaset España, has been delegated executive powers in matters of External and Institutional Relations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Internal Audit, Regulatory Compliance and Social Responsibility.
These will be the responsibility of the corporate general manager, Mario Rodríguez, who will report to directly from Prado, after being named deputy to the president.
In addition, Prado will assume support and collaboration tasks for the editorial line of news programmes.
