Neal O’Rourke new Chief Consumer Officer at Sky Deutschland

November 11, 2022 22.37 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Neal O’Rourke will expand his responsibilities and become head of the consumer division of Sky Deutschland in addition to his role as Managing Director of Sky Austria.

As Chief Consumer Officer, Irish-born Neal O’Rourke will be responsible with immediate effect for the entire consumer strategy and its implementation in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This includes customer growth, marketing, product and pricing as well as the OTT business. He succeeds Kathryn Imrie who, after a total of 18 years with Sky, has decided to leave the company for family reasons and return to the UK.

At the same time, Michael Radelsberger, Vice President Commercial at Sky Austria, will expand his current role and support the Austrian business locally as Deputy Managing Director. He will continue to report to O’Rourke.

“I am proud that we have been able to fill the positions with talented, highly regarded executives from within our own ranks, who bring a perfect blend of long-standing expertise and strong leadership qualities. This ensures a seamless transition for our business and puts us in the best position to continue to grow and strengthen our brand,” said Devesh Raj, CEO of Sky Deutschland.

O’Rourke has been managing director of Sky Austria since January 2020. Prior to that, he was Chief Finance & Strategy Officer of Sky Ireland, responsible for the growth of the business, working closely with the leadership teams in Ireland and the UK.
