The Croatian regulator HAKOM has received a total of five requests for participation in a frequency auction.
In a statement, it says that the bidding process for the frequency bands 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2600 MHz and 3600 MHz will start on January 16, 2023. It adds that for the frequency bands 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz, all the necessary conditions for participation in the public auction procedure at the national level were met by A1 Hrvatska. Hrvatski Telekom and Telemach Hrvatska.
Meanwhile, for the 3600 MHz frequency band, all the necessary conditions for participation in the public auction procedure at the regional (county) level were met by Digicom and Markoja.
HAKOM previously said that licences for the use of the RF spectrum for the frequency bands that are the subject of this allocation procedure expire at the end of 2023 and are used for mobile communications networks of all generations (2G, 3G, 4G and 5G).
