Paid audiovisual content is becoming increasingly popular in Spain, being watched by 58.3% of households with an internet connection in Q2 this year.
Figures published by the regulator CNMC indicate that this was almost five percentage points more than in the same period last year. They also show that nine out of ten Spaniards used the internet in the previous three months and 78.7% of them did so several times a day.
Furthermore, more and more Spaniards have a smartphone (90%). Through their smartphone, during the second quarter of 2022, users consulted online messages (83.7%), their social networks (48.1%) and email (41.8%) several times a day.
Other daily uses were games (20.7%), watching videos (27.5%) or location services (8.9%).
