Orange’s revenues in Europe, including Spain, were back to growth in the third quarter (3.2% year-on-year), with Poland putting in an outstanding performance (8.4%).
In total, they amounted to €2,764 million. In Spain, revenues grew (+0.2%) for the first time since Q1 2019.
Looking at the group’s TV operations, Orange France ended Q3 with 7,864,000 IPTV and DTH subscribers, barely changed on the 7,856,000 a year earlier. Meanwhile, in the rest of Europe it had 4,099,000, up from 2,712,000 a year earlier and boosted by the acquisition of Telekom Romania’s fixed-line business.
In Spain, the 1,135,000 total in Q3 was up from 693,000 a year earlier, the increase being down to the addition of 328,000 IPTV accesses through OTT technical solutions (ie. without using TV set-top boxes).
In Poland, the number of IPTV and satellite TV subscribers fell from 1,108,000 to 963,000, while in Central Europe, which includes Romania, it rose from 731,000 to 1,766,000.
