The Polish public broadcaster TVP has said it no longer plans to launch a thematic channel named TVP Muzyka.
At the same time, it now plans to launch TeenTV, a channel aimed at viewers aged 10-16.
TeenTV will initially be distributed over the internet and its production costs will amount to PLN15 million (€3.09 million) in 2023, rising to PLN20 million in 2024.
TVP’s plans are contained in its ‘Duty Card’ for 2020-24, a draft of which has been submitted to Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT).
