TalkTV has secured a more prominent slot within the Virgin Media EPG, moving from 627 to 606.
It follows rival GB News, which successfully bid for Channel 604, in a recent auction process.
Both channels have come out well as the two will now be on the first page of the News section. Channel 606 is closer to BBC and Sky News and sits between BBC Parliament and Bloomberg.
Richard Wallace, Head of TV at News UK, said: “This is an important step forward for Talk TV. We’ve had a very positive first six months with agenda-setting exclusive interviews with Donald Trump and Ukraine’s President Zelensky. Events like our Tory leadership debate and coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth proved our news credentials. To have a new and more prominent home on Virgin Media, as we unveil our great squad of talent for our autumn schedule, shows our continued ambition.”
Next Monday, broadcaster Jeremy Kyle begins a new primetime show at 7pm each weekday evening, followed by Piers Morgan Uncensored at 8pm, The Talks at 9pm and First Edition with Tom Newton Dunn at 10pm.
Branding for the new shows has been created by TalkTV Executive Director Erron Gordon and designed by industry-leading Creative Director James Mobbs, whose most recent work includes ‘Queen Elizabeth II Remembered’ for ITV and BBC Sport’s Match of the Day.
