A dispute has erupted between Telia and Viaplay leading to the Swedish telco to dropping content from the Group.
It says despite several; attempts to establish a dialogue with Viaplay its been unable to reach an agreement. Viaplay channels have been suspended since October 1.
“For us, our customers are most important and that is why we have always aimed to reach a new agreement with Viaplay. We have offered much more paid than in previous years, and we have worked into the last and presented alternative ways to reach the goal, but Viaplay has shown disinterest,” said Henrik Lönnevi, head of consumer, Telia Sweden.
“It is extremely unfortunate how this affects our customers. Our door is still open if Viaplay wants to resume the discussion directly with us. Now we have further maximized our TV packages with new attractive content for both large and small, from sports to film & series and freedom of a number of channel.”
Telia says customers will be able to get to know “new and attractive content” from C More, SF channel, SF Kids, HBO Max, Netflix, UEFA Champions League, Allsvenskan, Eurosport, BBC, and the newly launched SkyShowtime.
