Audience measurement company Comscore is to reduce its headcount as it attempts to “improve cost efficiency and better align its operating structure and resources with strategic priorities”.
In a statement released to the US Securities and Equities Commission, Comscore says the cost of the restructuring would sit between $13 million and $18 million, including $8 million in redundancy costs.
Staff at Comscore’s Virginia headquarters found out about the plans on Thursday.
The company did not disclose how many of its 1,700 employees would be affected by the move.
In addition to the job losses, its anticipated the company will pull out of some activities in a number of markets.
Comscore has developed a number of programmatic marketing solutions across mobile, connected TV and podcasts.
