Setanta Sports expands reach in Ukraine

September 29, 2022 10.05 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Ukraine’s leading cable operator Volia has added the Setanta Sports+ channel to its programme packages.

In a statement, it says that Setanta Sports and Setanta Sports+ offer more than 5,000 live sports broadcasts per year. They include coverage of the Premier League, Bundesliga, Formula 1, boxing, tennis and basketball.

Volia adds: “sports content is very important for us and for our subscribers. We are proud that each of our subscribers can find a sports broadcast to their liking. We have been cooperating with the Setanta Sports channel for a long time, and now we are expanding this cooperation to their second channel.

“In general, we have almost the largest selection of sports channels in Ukraine, such as: “Xsport”, Xsport+, Fightbox HD, Fast&Fun Box HD, EX Extreme Sports Channel, Setanta Sports, Trophy HD, Rybalka-TV, First Automobile, as well as broadcasts of the League champions on Megogo channels, but we want more. That is why we made this decision and entered into an agreement with the Setanta Sport+ channel. Everything is better for our subscribers”.

Setanta Sporst+ will be offered to both Volia’s cable and IPTV subscribers, and in some packages in HD.

Volia recently also added History, UA Music, 4ever music, Black and Nick Toons to its channel offer.
