Hayu to launch in CEE

September 28, 2022 09.43 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

NBCUniversal International’s all-reality, SVOD service Hayu will make its debut across Central and Eastern Europe in Q4.

Available DTC on a full array of devices ¬– mobile, tablet, TV, console and web (iOS, Android, Android TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, LG and Xbox, with availability on each device varying per market) – it will initially be offered with a seven-day free trial.

Hayu provides over 300 shows and over 9,000 episodes of reality TV content, with the vast majority from the US available the same day as their broadcast in the US.

Commenting on the launch, Hendrik McDermott, MD, Direct-to-Consumer, Global, NBCUniversal, said: “As the destination for world-renowned reality content, this expansion to Central and Eastern Europe continues to deliver on our goal of super-serving the best reality TV to even more fans of the genre.

“We are thrilled to be launching our D2C subscription streaming service in the region, where we look forward to partnering with platforms and telcos to serve their young female audiences”.
