German movies and series distributor Studio Hamburg Enterprises is changing its name into OneGate Media.
The expression OneGate is a reference to the company’s roots in Hamburg, which is known as Germany’s ‘Gate to the World’, according to the company.
“Changing our name to OneGate Media is the natural next step in our journey as a distribution business. It creates better visibility of our company for all of our partners and clients and puts our outstanding content portfolio in a new spotlight,” said Tania Reichert-Facilides, Managing Director of OneGate Media. “I very much look forward to developing and implementing new programme offers and service solutions in the ever-changing production and distribution landscape.”
Founded over 60 years ago as a subsidiary of NDR, the regional affiliate of public broadcaster ARD serving Northern Germany, OneGate Media is part of production house Studio Hamburg Group. Covering worldwide distribution for TV content, its 70 employees are based across its three offices in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin.
The sales team consists of six divisions, separated into international sales, digital and DVD/Blu-ray distribution as well as TV sales, licensing and archive footage sales.
