Albania’s Tring opts for SmartLabs

September 20, 2022 09.25 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Albanian triple-play operator Tring has chosen SmartLabs to deploy its multiscreen solution.

The solution is built on the SmartTUBE TV service management platform, SmartMEDIA content delivery system, and SmartCARE analytics engine, which helps operators understand audience behaviour and changes in viewing habits.

SmartLabs’ solution will be deployed on third-party hybrid DVB-T2 + IP STBs, iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as Samsung, LG, and Android Smart TVs. In the future, Tring plans to make more Smart TV models and other types of screens available to the customers.

Commenting on the deployment, Gary Hamer, SmartLabs’ SVP sales and business development, said: “We were happy to offer a customized, cost-effective comprehensive solution to Tring alongside our team’s industry expertise and proven experience. We are thrilled Tring chose our solution as part of its competitive strategy and are looking forward to working with it on new developments in the future”.

Armand Selimaj, Tring CTO, added: “We have chosen SmartLabs for the completeness of solution and rich track record of successful projects across the globe. With the launch of the new TV service we hope to drastically improve the quality of TV viewing experience and to ensure our market leadership”.
