Sky has kicked off its launch campaign for its Sky Glass TV in Italy.
A specially produced commercial featuring the Italian singer Laura Pausini will introduce the Sky Glass TV product that made its UK debut last October.
The brand ambassador is being joined by “four of her friends” Benedetta Parodi, Bruno Barbieri, Stefano Accorsi and Tommaso Paradiso.
The streaming TV dispenses with the dish and instead runs entirely over IP. Innovative features include Glance technology, which means you only have to walk by the TV for it to switch on, or say “Hello Sky” to start viewing on the 4K Ultra HD display.
As with previous launches, in the UK and Ireland, it is available to Italian customers in three sizes (43″, 55″ and 65″) and in five colours – black, blue, white, pink and green – and with matching remote controls.
Customers can purchase the 43″ model in for a one-off payment €697, the 55″ model for €995 and the 65″ model for €1293. Alternatively, Sky Glass can be purchased in instalments, the 65″ TV at €23.90 per month, the 55″ TV at €17.90 per month and the 43″ TV at €11.90 per month.
Sky Glass launched in Ireland in August, but its German launch was postponed until 2023.
