The Romanian regulator ANCOM has made a number of concessions following a consultation on an upcoming tender for 5G licences.
According to Ziarul Financiar, the most important of these are maintaining the starting price at €693 million, extending the validity of the licences from 20 to 25 years and reducing the annual fee for the use of the radio spectrum by 30%.
Significantly, Telekom Mobile, which was not expected to participate in the tender, submitted more than 40 pages of observations in the consultation.
This was more than Orange and Vodafone, while RCS&RDS (Digi) did not offer any.
