Austrian IPTV service provider Ocilion has selected the head-end assurance and analytics solution from Swedish video analytics solutions provider Agama Technologies to ensure the delivery of an outstanding streaming experience to its customers.
With head-end analysers implemented in three different locations, the solution allows Ocilion to proactively observe the quality of the streams in its content acquisition points. Running on top of the Agama enterprise platform, the head-end analyser provides real-time insights on video service quality and viewer experience in all parts of the delivery network.
The solution offers deep content inspection for channels and streams, while providing troubleshooting and root-cause analysis which enable the detection of potential issues faster and more accurately, according to Agama, adding that this allows Ocilion to solve issues in the service delivery before any disruption is experienced by the viewers.
“With the established and professional Agama solution we are able to secure an even better content quality for our customers and the end users. By receiving instant live details and alerting of our channels and signals we will improve our platform and the overall service for our clients,” said Hans Kühberger, CEO of Ocilion.
“We feel proud that Ocilion has chosen Agama as its partner and that our solution has a positive impact on the performance and reliability of its excellent service,” added Mikael Dahlgren, CEO of Agama Technologies. “We are looking forward to strengthening our collaboration, and to contributing to a successful service delivery and a first-class customer experience.”
The Agama observability and analytics solution provides full transparency of video service distribution from the head-end to the viewing devices. According to the company, one important element of the solution delivered to Ocilion is the head-end probes, which provide real-time insights into all three locations of the service, so that head-end staff can verify the quality and availability of incoming streams, assure the correctness of video processing steps and the correct hand-off to distribution.
