Virgin Media Television’s new channel Virgin Media Four goes live tonight (Wednesday).
Virgin Media Four will be free-to-air on Virgin Media’s cable network and the DTT system Saorview. It will be focused on general entertainment.
Included is weekly coverage of NFL American Football, a behind-the scenes documentary on the British & Irish Lions rugby tour of South Africa in 2021.
Bill Malone, Virgin Media Television’s Director of Content said Virgin Media Four forms an integral part of Virgin Media Television’s new channel strategy.
“Virgin Media One is our flagship channel and home to VMTV’s biggest brands from Ireland AM to Virgin Media News; Virgin Media Two is now clearly a youth focused channel, which has just enjoyed a ratings bonanza thanks to the strong performance of Love Island; Virgin Media Three has a particular focus on drama and now Virgin Media Four has joined our portfolio of channels as a General Entertainment channel with a mixture of home produced and top international content.”
It’s the second channel launch for Virgin Media Television this year, following Virgin Media More, which made its debut in April as an exclusive to Virgin Media subscribers.
